Oh my God I just watch DoctorWho’s The Stolen Earth it was just.. oh God!!!

At the opening credits ohh God amazing! David Tenat, Catherine Tate, Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman, Elizabeth Sladen… I was freaking out!

Having all that wonderful cast together and then at the middle Penelope Wilton? really? that was BRILLIANT!

Not to mention the so expected reunion, my Lord!!! ALSKDJALKSFJSLKJF and at the end… Jesus this show is awesome!

So first, I make a call for peace!

We all watch the show, we all have our favorites and the ones we hate, but I find unnecessary to go aggressive on each other and I’m talking about the Dair videos that have been censured by the complaints of Chair fans and I’m talking about the Chuck death wishing by Dair fans.

We all know how we can all get so emotionally connected to a character, so much that sometimes I think to my self if we are not losing it, if we are not going crazy. So, think that every time you attack wich it’s different that give your opinion (because we don’t have to like the same things) to someone’s character you’re actually hurting that someone in a really deep way.

Ok leaving the politics aside I’m gonna start with the talking

I’m a Dair fan but I’m gonna talk for both Chair and Dair teams. I’m not doing my statement in any particular order (in fact I just write thoughs as they come) so I recomend you to read it all.

First, I totally get the angry of Chair fans because the show sold you a romance for five years and now is being threaten by the Dair idea. And yes, it’s Threaten! because if the new Blair’s love interest were a totally diferent character, I mean, not a regular of the show it would be cool, because we all know that the guest characters never last. But this time it’s Dan, who happens to be one of the five important here (counting Nate, who sadly is not treated like one) and also who is kind of the best person of the show (most of the time, he had fall into the upper east side scheming too, he’s human after all) but that doesn’t diminish that he’s the most ethical of the group.

Add to that that Dan shares with Blair things (movies/books/art) that they can’t share with anyone else (words that Blair used, not me) and add that the guy was her shoulder all this time. Dan may not has Chuck’s status or charm (or however you want to call it) but right now he’s a good opponent and it’s not gonna be easy, wich is good because if Chuck wants to get Blair back he’s gonna have to do serious changes and grow into the man she needs him to be (I’m gonna do some more digging about Chuck in a moment)

THE ENDGAME DISCUSSION:

I’ve seen how Chair fans laugh at the possibility of Dair being endgame and Dair fans do it as well, I think it is as valid for both sides as it’s not. 

Chair has history on it’s side, and even if I don’t want it, all that baggage it’s gonna and it does weight right now. We know Blair loves Chuck. Why? well, because love is that way, you don’t choose it and in the middle of all the pain they’ve had their great moments.

But the Chair endgame it’s NOT written on stone, tv shows can change their way, obvious paths can be erased for new ones and if you don’t believe it ask Dawson Leery (Pacey’s fan over here!) . Dan has a great advantage over Chuck right now because he has stood by Blair all this time even when he disagrees with her, even when it hurts him (he did try to help her be with Chuck!!!). Blair knows he is the person that genuinely and selflessly would do anything for her, even sending the video was to help her (why do you think she forgave him so easily?), she gets that, she loves that! (not saying it was right to let Chuck/Serena take the blame for it)

ABOUT CHUCK:

I get why Chair fans love him, he’s interesting, mysterious, HOT and the bad guy vibe it’s always gonna help!

Chuck is not a good guy, or don’t know how to be good, or he knows how to but doesn’t want people to see him weak. I can’t make my mind clear about it.

Bad or not doesn’t mean that he can’t love or be loved because I do believe he loves Blair in his twisted (sometimes good) way, maybe no the way we would like it, or the way it is supposed to be, but he does love her. 

This is a guy who suffer a lot while he was growing up, he learnt to hide his emotions and to be aggressive, it was easier that way. He always got what we wanted so he applies this to everything in his life, including Blair. Which does not justify the way he treats her (that is something I really hate about him because Blair is one of the reasons I watch this show). We know he can be  good, tender and more but the funny thing is that he’s that way with other girls (Raina, the french girl, etc) but not with Blair, he’s still afraid, because she’s the person he’s most vulnerable. 

We also know that Blair is a sucker for fairy tales love, romantic comedy movies and as much as she thought the mind games with Chuck were fun she doesn’t want that in a long term, she wants her “prince”, her happy ever after and not the angst, the fear, the power games of her relationship with Chuk.

How I see things is that if Chuck doesn’t get it togheter and stop acting like a spoiled afraid child (who’s fighting for a toy) and become the man that she wants him to be (the way she saw he was with Raina) it’s not gonna happend or not in a credible way.

(Note: I know Blair is not an angel, but she has grown up a lot and her level or evilness is not quite the level of Chuck’s)

DAN-SERENA? (I don’t even know how to call this ship)

Sorry for the shippers of this one but for me it’s more than dead and not because of Blair, it’s because of Serena. She killed this relation ship a long time ago. I never was a big fan of those two together and in fact I was happy everytime Dan set his eyes in someone else. Serena was always not liking someone new but falling in love with everysingle guy she cross paths with and in each time Dan ceased to exist for her.

I do actually like Serena’s character and I love Blake Lively but I just can’t stand how fast she goes from loving one guy to another, to another. Dan also had his girls but at the end his love for Serena was always obvious and he always ended up running to save her from her problems. Dan (as many of us) eventually got tired of not getting nothing in return and I like to think that one of the things he liked about Blair was that even when she was dating someone else she has been firm about his love for Chuck and I guess he wish he had got that from Serena.

What is wrong with Serena? she remembered Dan exist and that she loves him when she saw she wasn’t the main character of his novel, love? or pride? Then she went MIA and now 4 chapters ago she sudenly loves Dan again, he’s the love of her life… really? I don’t know, but let’s say Chair makes sense for endgame (leaving aside all the things I feel that are not right about them)  but DanSerena? I don’t think so. 

From how I see things without saying that Chuck and Serena are bad people I think Dan and Blair deserve better, that’s one of the reasons I think their relationship is so great (also all the bantering and the cultural connection they share). Dan is good, and is good to Blair, he doesn’t offer her status of royalty or power (that we know she likes) he offers her love, security and understanding. Blair is good to Dan because she is open to him, honest, she trust him and makes him feel important, needed, she makes him feel that he belongs that his part of her life.

I want Dair to be endgame but if it’s not I want Dan and Blair with someone that deserve them.

There’s a lot work to do specially for Serena because Dan is totally over her and super in love with Blair and I don’t think there is a comeback from there, but if there is I want it to be worth it.

If Dair is over I want it to be for a greater good and not just to make fans happy (that is a stupid way to run a tv show) I want the story to be true and credible. I want good thing for Dan and Blair.

I also want that for Serena and Chuck but right now I think those two have a lot of work to do, they have to grow up to find their way in life and in love.

NATE:

Now, I don’t want to leave with out also talking about Nate! there’s no story for him at least no an interesting one. I believe he could be more and have more but he keeps been as poor as the character that Dan wrote about him on his book.

I actually liked the idea of Serenate when it came out, I don’t know if it would be right in this moment  but it would be great that he gets one of the main girls and not any unknowing neverlasting girl (nothing against Lola). Nate deserves to win a big prize for once and I think getting Serena would involved him more in the story and give him more importance, but as I said before Serena has a lot of work to do, not just for a guy but for herself.

I’m sorry I know this was looooong but there were a lot of thing I’ve been meaning to say.
